Job Description

High Lakes Healthcare is looking for an experienced, highly motivated, focused and knowledgeable candidate to lead our team of clinic staff at High Lakes Upper Mill. Must have experience working in a medical clinic setting, and experience in healthcare management (preferably in a medical clinic setting).

 

The Clinic Supervisor is responsible for providing thorough and effective supervision of all providers and office staff, ensures prompt and courteous service to clients and patients, leads and directs operations, and project and risk management, directs and coordinates operation of the organization and all daily business office activities, monitors staff implementation of the medical billing system, oversees areas of third party reimbursements, physician billing, collections, contract administration, and management reporting.

Essential Job Functions

  • Supervision of clinic staff.
  • Maintain performance standards of supervised employees including performance evaluations, discipline, training and development.
  • Ensure adequate staffing levels through timely and effective recruitment.
  • Lead by example through an expertise in daily operations.
  • Delegation and monitoring of all office responsibilities.
  • Effective and timely staffing, training, and evaluating employees.
  • Guides employee actions by researching, developing, writing, and updating office policies, procedures, methods, and guidelines.
  • Understand and adhere to HIPAA policies, procedures and regulations to assure patient confidentiality.
  • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications and appropriate e-mail updates.
  • Work with other supervisors and manager to facilitate cross-training and ensure inter-department communication and cohesion.

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8-5

Minimum Qualifications

Education:

  • High School graduate or equivalent.
  • College education preferred.
  • MHA or MBA, or MS in health administration or business administration (Preferred).

 

Experience:

  • Recent experience in healthcare management.
  • Previous experience working in a healthcare setting (as a Medical Assistant, Medical Office Support, etc. position)
  • Accurate and detail oriented; problem solving; pro-active planning; metric development; good organizational skills and communication skills; the ability to work well with other department managers and supervisors; experience with management of staff.
  • Ability to manage work load and empower others.
