Job Description

Desert Orthopedics is looking to hire a full-time, board-eligible/board-certified Physiatrist to join our well-established Physiatry service line. Our ideal candidate will be proficient in spinal interventional procedures, electrodiagnosis and musculoskeletal ultrasound procedures and will see patients in an out-patient musculoskeletal clinic. Other valuable skills include ultrasound guided injections, regenerative medicine and Botox injections for spasticity.


You will join as the third Physiatrist, replacing a retiring provider who is one of the original founders of the clinic. Position is out-patient based work, with procedures performed in clinic or ASC. Clinic is co-located with our busy orthopedic practice and Urgent care. Light call for out-patient PM&R patients only.


Experienced physician preferred, but new graduates are welcome to apply.

Minimum Qualifications

Board Certified through the American Board of Medical Specialties.

Valid medical license to practice in the state of Oregon. MD or DO

General Physical Requirements

Busy PM&R practice embedded within an orthopedic clinic and co-located with Praxis Urgent Care. Availability to perform procedures at a clinic, ambulatory surgery center or hospital setting.


May have exposure to patients with communicable diseases as well as exposure to CRT’s and UV rays from computers.


The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.


While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and walk. Frequently required to lift and carry weights ranging from 10 pounds and above. Occasionally required to lift and carry weights scaled at above 100 pounds or more. Frequent bending and stooping; frequent crouching and kneeling; frequent reaching; frequent pushing and pulling.


Other physical requirements: Maintain balance and strength in awkward positions; Speak clearly, even under stressful circumstances; Accurately communicate ideas orally and in writing; Respond physically with speed; Speak at proper volumes for appropriate situations.
