Job Description

This position is a vital member of our dynamic team which works together providing orthopedic manual therapy to our clients. You will provide one-on-one treatment to patients with both acute and chronic musculoskeletal injuries and conditions.  

 

Essential Job Functions

  • Consulting with patients to learn about their physical condition and symptoms
  • Evaluate mobility, movement dysfunction, balance coordination and physical function.
  • Assessing and interpreting patient evaluations and test results
  • Coordinate with patient’s primary physician and other medical professionals
  • Developing personalized treatment plans using a variety of treatment techniques
  • Maintaining patient records and keeping track of goals and progress
  • Assess patient progress and make plan adjustments
  • Advise and demonstrate exercises, movements, and home workouts
  • Record and document patient care services in HER program

 

Performance Requirements:

  • Demonstrate competency in all clinical knowledge and skills specific to patient care
  • Monitor patient’s progression and make appropriate adjustments
  • Record patient’s treatment, progress and subjective components in EHR
  • Maintain a full patient case load and remain flexible to accommodate patient’s needs
  • Collaborate with other team members to achieve well-rounded care
  • Need to be an effective communicator and have strong interpersonal skills
  • Compliant with state regulatory requirements
  • Consulting and collaborating with other healthcare professionals

Minimum Qualifications

Education and/or Experience

  • Graduate of an accredited physical therapy program
  • At least 1 year experience in an orthopedic physical therapy capacity
  • Preferred experience in an outpatient setting with an emphasis on manual therapy
  • Must possess a current stat of Oregon Physical therapy license, or provide application status

General Physical Requirements

Work Environment

Therapist will be working one-on-one with patients in private treatment rooms, gym space and other areas as needed. Independent work space can be used for documentation. May be required to lift, bend or squat in demonstration of exercises or training.

 

Mental/Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stay on task without direct supervision
  • Ability to demonstrate exercises or physical requirements to patients
  • Capable of effectively communicating to patients regardless of race, orientation or age.
  • Actively listening to patients and understanding their concerns and conflicts.
  • Dealing with patients under stress or anxious about their healthcare outcomes.
  • Able to multi-task and accommodate random schedule changes or updates.
