With 35 primary care providers in 6 clinics, we are the largest Primary Care group in Central Oregon. And as part of the Praxis Health family of clinics, our network additionally includes multiple specialty clinics as well.

 

Bend and the surrounding communities are growing rapidly, presenting the need for an additional Family Medicine/ Sports Medicine Physician in our Upper Mill clinic, located in the heart of it all. This role will inherit an 80/20 Family Medicine/ Sports Medicine patient panel.

Bend offers the very best in year-round outdoor life and recreation, and is a favorite vacation destination for many. Mt. Bachelor, 20 minutes from downtown Bend, is the premier destination ski resort in the state of Oregon, with numerous cross country trails and snow mobile parks.

 

Summer sports include hiking, climbing at Smith Rock, fishing (lake and river), mountain biking, river sports, and over two-dozen golf courses are within a 45-minute radius. The public school system is strong, and there are private school options at all grade levels. Minimum Qualifications

Required Qualifications & Abilities:

  • Highly-engaged MD/DO physician
  • Board Certification/ Board Eligible and Residency trained in Family Medicine
  • Clinical competency and expertise in caring for Primary Care patients
  • Strong understanding of examination methodologies and diagnostics
  • Knowledge of common medication, side effects and contraindications
  • In-depth knowledge of legal medical guidelines and medicine best practices
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Respect for patient's confidentiality
  • Compassionate and approachable
  • Responsible and trustworthy
  • Attend work regularly and on time

General Physical Requirements

  • While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear.
