Job Description

High Lakes Health Care, in Sisters, Oregon, is a small clinic with big heart! Led by a fantastic clinical and administrative team, you will have the support and autonomy to practice exceptional patient care in the center of this mountain town community.


We are looking for an experienced and dedicated Family Medicine Nurse Practitioner to provide direct patient care, discuss patient symptoms and concerns, perform thorough examinations and history to diagnose medical issues, prescribe medication and create treatment plans in a compassionate and individualized manner. We emphasize preventative care as well as managing chronic medical conditions for a wide range of patients from small children to geriatric adults.

Sisters, Oregon:

Adjacent to Bend, Oregon, and surrounded by astounding geographical beauty, Sisters is a charming, small community offering western hospitality and endless outdoor recreational activities. The population of the greater Bend metro area exceeds 165,000 and serves as a referral area encompassing most of Oregon east of the Cascades. The favorite destination ski resort in the state of Oregon, Mt. Bachelor, is 40 minutes from downtown Sisters, and there are numerous cross country trails and snowmobile parks nearby. Summer sports include hiking, climbing at Smith Rock, fishing (lake and river), kayaking, mountain biking, river sports, and over two dozen golf courses are within a thirty mile radius. The public school system is strong, and there are private options at all grade levels nearby. Oregon State University’s Cascade Campus in Bend is a full four-year university, which offers a few graduate programs, and Central Oregon Community College (COCC) offers 60 programs of study. A regional airport connects Bend/Redmond to Portland, Seattle, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Salt Lake City, Chicago, Phoenix and Denver.

 

Minimum Qualifications

Required Qualifications & Abilities:

  • Licensed Nurse Practitioner
  • Minimum 2 years experience as NP in Family Medicine required
  • Clinical competency and expertise in caring for Primary Care patients
  • Strong understanding of examination methodologies and diagnostics
  • Knowledge of common medication, side effects and contraindications
  • In-depth knowledge of legal medical guidelines and medicine best practices
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Respect for patient's confidentiality
  • Compassionate and approachable
  • Responsible and trustworthy
  • Attend work regularly and on time
