Job Description

This is a remote role with occasional travel to Oregon, Washington, and Idaho. Candidates must be based in Oregon or Washington.

We're looking for a talented Healthcare AI & Automation guru who’s ready to dive deep into the complexities of healthcare operations, bring a strong technical toolkit, and fuel innovation with curiosity and precision.

Join us as we revolutionize primary care with intelligent workflows, low-code automation, and agent-based orchestration—all with the goal of improving the patient experience and expanding access to care where, when, and how the patient needs it most.

Work with Canvas Medical, Awell Health, UI Path, and cutting-edge AI tools to redesign how care is delivered efficiently and effectively. Experience with UI Path workflows is a plus, as it’s an AI-assisted workflow-building platform central to our automation strategy.

We're looking for a trailblazer who brings:

  • 3–5 years of hands-on automation experience

  • A strong foundation in healthcare operations and DevOps principles

  • A genuine passion for reimagining care through AI-driven innovation

Join the Future of Healthcare at Praxis Health

At Praxis Health, we're not just imagining the future of primary care — we're building it. As a leading provider in the Pacific Northwest, we're on a mission to revolutionize how care is delivered by embracing cutting-edge automation, AI, and agent-based technologies. We’re currently collaborating with a major healthcare insurer to design the next generation of primary care clinics — ones powered by intelligent workflows and an unwavering focus on the patient experience.

We're looking for a Healthcare Workflow Automation Engineer who’s ready to dive deep into the complexities of healthcare operations, bring a strong technical toolkit, and fuel innovation with curiosity and precision.

What You’ll Do

  • Collaborate with clinicians and operations teams to map and analyze current-state workflows
  • Identify inefficiencies and opportunities to automate with precision and scalability
  • Build, test, and deploy automated workflows using low-code tools and custom scripting
  • Integrate with systems such as Canvas Medical EHR, LIS, PACS, Population Health apps, and payer platforms
  • Apply DevOps principles — CI/CD, infrastructure as code, version control — to streamline deployment and maintenance
  • Explore and experiment with AI, machine learning, and agent-based orchestration (like Awell Health’s CareOps)
  • Continuously monitor and optimize automation for performance, scalability, and reliability
  • Create and maintain thorough technical documentation
  • Advocate for automation best practices across teams and departments

What You Bring

  • 3–5 years of hands-on experience with workflow automation
  • At least 1 year of working with low-code or no-code platforms
  • Solid experience in healthcare environments and familiarity with workflows and data standards (e.g., HL7, FHIR)
  • Strong foundation in DevOps tools and principles (CI/CD, Git, scripting, infrastructure automation)
  • Proficiency with scripting or programming (e.g., Python, JavaScript, PowerShell)
  • Passion for experimenting with AI and autonomous agents, and a curiosity to explore their real-world applications in healthcare
  • Experience with UI Path or similar platforms is highly desired
  • Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
  • Self-starter attitude and comfort with a fast-paced, evolving environment

Why Praxis?

Be part of a mission-driven organization dedicated to improving care delivery at scale
Collaborate with forward-thinking technologists and clinicians
Help shape an industry-first initiative combining EHR innovation, AI, and agentic automation
Enjoy remote flexibility, competitive compensation, and a culture that values experimentation and growth
