Now Hiring: Gynecology Medical Assistant (MA)

Location: Praxis Health – High Lakes Gynecology

Schedule: Tuesday – Friday | 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM
Status: Full-Time
Pay: $22–$25/hour (DOE)

Praxis Health is seeking a Gynecology Medical Assistant (MA) to join our dynamic women’s health clinic. What You’ll Do:

  • Assist providers during exams and minor in-office procedures
  • Prepare patients and exam rooms with professionalism and compassion
  • Document vital signs and medical history in EMR 
  • Educate patients and provide clear post-procedure instructions
  • Maintain sterile environments and manage instrument care
  • Coordinate lab work, follow-ups, and referrals with accuracy and care

  • Novasure Endometrial Ablation
  • LEEP (Loop Electrosurgical Excision Procedure)
  • Hysteroscopy
  • IUD Insertion and Removal
  • Endometrial Biopsy
  • Pelvic and Breast Exams
  • Evaluation of Irregular Bleeding, Pelvic Pain, and More

What We’re Looking For:

  • High School diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED)
  • 1+ years of experience in OB/GYN or Women’s Health (preferred)
  • Medical Assistant Certification (CMA, RMA, NCMA, etc.)
  • Current BLS certification (preferred)
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • A calm, compassionate demeanor when working with sensitive issues
  • Ability to multitask and stay detail-oriented in a fast-paced setting
  • Team player who thrives in a supportive, high-functioning care team

Minimum Qualifications

  • 1+ years of experience in OB/GYN or Women’s Health (preferred)

General Physical Requirements

  • While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear.
  • The employee is occasionally required to sit and stoop, kneel, crouch.
  • The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to sit, stand, kneel, crawl, bend and twist as needed.  Requires walking on non-level surfaces, inside and outside the office, throughout the day.
  • Work Environment: Combination of medical office and exam/procedure room settings.

This position performs tasks that involve exposure to blood, body fluids and/or tissues. All employees performing these duties are offered the opportunity to receive the Hepatitis-B vaccination series.
