Job Description

High Lakes Gynecology is seeking a compassionate, team-oriented Gynecology & Surgical First Assist Physician Assistant (PA) with a passion for women’s health. Whether you're an experienced PA or a new graduate with the desire, dedication and commitment to learning the specialty long term, we invite you to explore this unique opportunity. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive gynecologic care in a collaborative, team-based setting, while also serving as trained surgical backup in the OR for a range of gynecologic procedures. This is a rewarding position for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment and values deep patient relationships, professional collaboration, and lifelong learning.

 

Please note: This position is focused on gynecology and does not include obstetrics.

 

Benefit Highlights

  • Compensation: $130,000 – $180,000 annually (base + production)
  • Sign-On Bonus & Loan Repayment: Up to $30,000

Work Schedule:

  • Primarily outpatient clinic hours, 4-day work week, Monday through Friday.
  • OR days as scheduled based on team and surgical need (estimated 4 days/month)

What You’ll Do

Outpatient Gynecology – Primary Focus

  • Evaluate and manage a wide range of gynecologic conditions including abnormal uterine bleeding, pelvic pain, infections, menopause, and contraception.

  • Conduct well-woman exams and provide preventive care and health counseling.

  • Order and interpret labs and imaging, and develop evidence-based treatment plans.

  • Collaborate closely with our gynecology physicians, nursing staff, and administrators to ensure seamless, patient-centered care.

  • Educate and empower patients to understand their health and treatment options.

  • Maintain clear and timely documentation in the electronic health record system.

Surgical First Assist – Secondary, As Needed

  • Serve as first assist in gynecologic surgical procedures including laparoscopic, vaginal, and open cases.

  • Support preoperative planning and postoperative care coordination.

  • Maintain sterile technique and promote surgical efficiency and safety during procedures.

  • Participate in OR days as needed (estimated 4 days per month).

Minimum Qualifications

Required

  • Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program
  • NCCPA certification and unrestricted PA license in Oregon (or eligibility)
  • DEA license and prescriptive authority (or ability to obtain)
  • Strong clinical judgment, interpersonal communication, and teamwork skills

Preferred

  • Prior experience in gynecology, women’s health, urgent care, or surgical specialties
  • Surgical first assist experience or training (willing to train highly motivated candidates)
  • Confidence in managing patient panels with appropriate physician collaboration
  • A growth mindset and commitment to advancing your clinical skill set

  • While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear.
